Noa Grace

We are SO SO EXCITED to share with you the whirlwind month we just had and introduce to you OUR DAUGHTER, Noa Grace Lamarah Lundberg!!!!

These last few years have been full of ups and downs as many of you are aware- but this last month has shown us just how faithful our God is.  Over the next few weeks I am excited to share with you some details about this last month's adoption journey and how Noa Grace came to be OUR DAUGHTER.

In the meantime here are a few stats to hold you over :)

Noa Grace was born December 30th 2013 at 6:02pm, just four days after we were chosen to be her parents.  She was 5 pounds, 2 ounces and 17.5" long.  Healthy and beautiful.

Her name, Noa means "movement" and "motion".  There is also reference in the Bible of a female Noa- one of the 5 daughters of Zelophehad. (Numbers 27).  As one of Zelophehad's daughters she and her sisters fought for their inheritance to his land after he died without any male heirs.  Moses took their plea to God who deemed it right and just.  This petition then changed the law of inheritance allowing daughters to receive their family inheritance when there are no sons.  Noa and her sisters were fully aware of God's law and were wise and humble in their petition.  These attributes we pray over her... that she be wise in God's word, that she walk humbly and that she speak out for justice.  We know our daughter will cause movement, just her journey to our family already has... movement towards our Lord in our hearts and the hearts of so many.  We believe God's kingdom will continue to grow through His work in her life, her presence will not be static and God will use her and her story to declare the goodness of His promises and faithfulness.

Her middle name Lamarah was given by her birthmother.  We found it, and the meaning behind it so beautiful we have chosen to keep it and honor her with it.  The word "marah" actually means bitter.  In the book of Exodus the Israelites were wandering the wilderness with no water.  The was water at Marah but it was bitter and undrinkable.  Moses went to the Lord and the Lord changed the water to be sweet.  Her beautiful birthmother found this name and story to be fitting of her story.  Ultimately God redeems and restores something that was first bitter and broken to something wonderfully sweet and life giving.

Noa Grace, what a blessing she has been to our home, family and friends these last three weeks.  A perfect answer to prayer.  The boys LOVE their sister and praise God for her.  Nothing could be better.  Well... a Seahawks victory at next weeks Super Bowl will just be the cherry on top!

Thank you so SO MUCH for your prayers, support, and encouragement during this season in our life.  We are so thankful.  And in case you are wondering we are still fundraising and in need of funds.  We were blessed by being offered a short term loan which we were able to use to finance the upfront adoption fees.  I will post more about our fundraising later but if the Lord has put it on your heart to walk with us financially please visit https://www.adopttogether.org/thelundbergs or https://compel.org/campaign/lundberg-family-adoption/

Love-
Alexis, Chris, Jackson, Kai and Noa Grace
