Design by Lexi: Hanging Pictures the Pinterest Way

I've seen so many different ways to hang pictures all over Pinterest. All of them seem like great ideas, but generally I am just too impatient to try them. It's usually trial and error. But, the thought of putting a bunch of nail holes into my newly drywalled walls scares me so much that I haven't hung up much at all! I have finally gotten so tired of looking at the giant pile of picture frames on my bedroom floor that I "patiently" put one of my Pinterest finds to work. HERE is one that I looked at. It was beautifully done... I copied the idea with a little less perfection and patience. ;)

Here are just some of the picture frames I need to get up on a wall!

First I found some old newspaper and traced each picture frame on them. I poked a hole through the paper at the exact place where the nail would need to be hung. After cutting them out I also labeled each paper so that it would be easier to place the pictures on the wall with just the papers.

I then laid out the pictures on the floor in my hallway in the order that I wanted them on the wall. Then I just placed the paper up on the wall with a little bit of tape... measured, leveled, hammered, and hung.
